The aim of the project is to further improve air quality measurement and assessment system in Poland based on Norwegian experience and to provide the public and decision-makers with a wide accesses to air pollution information for the purpose of protection of human health, education as well as local, regional and national air quality management.
The activities planned to be realised in the project to reach project objectives:

1. Optimisation/modernisation of measurement networks incl. IT tools and software; servicing and technical maintenance of measurement stations.

2. Improving the QA/QC procedures, by means of e.g. intercalibrations/common field campaigns.

3. Adjusting air quality assessment to the requirements laid down in the proposal of a new EU reporting decision, with special attention to spatial data and modeling.

4. Supporting air quality assessment with emission data from point and dispersed sources, including identification of emission sources.

5. Providing visualisation of air quality monitoring data as one portal for the whole Inspection, as a part of spatial information system compliant with INSPIRE requirements.

6. Project management and promotion activities.
